Bagaha Live ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Bagaha Live mobile application and the related website at https://bagahalive.in. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to users of our app and website.
For legal and public-facing identification purposes, Bagaha Live is owned and operated by Sagar Kumar Mazumdar.
1. Scope
This policy applies to readers, registered users, reporter accounts, people who contact us, and visitors who use our mobile app, website, or linked support pages.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Account details such as your name, email address, mobile number, and profile details when you register or sign in
- Reporter and user submissions such as news text, photos, videos, captions, location labels, drafts, and related metadata
- Guest post and local listing details such as title, description, category, price or salary text, property details, contact name, contact phone number, media, location, review status, and admin notes
- Profile content such as your avatar or other information you choose to add to your account
- Device, app, and log data such as IP address, device type, operating system, browser or app version, crash data, and basic usage events
- Website measurement data such as an anonymous browser identifier stored in local storage, article or guest-post view events, sponsor-ad cooldown timestamps, and ad impression or click events
- Notification-related identifiers such as push tokens and OneSignal identifiers used to send alerts
- Advertising, consent, and measurement data used to request and show ads, including advertising identifiers where permitted by the device, platform, and applicable consent choices
- Messages and records relating to support requests, grievance complaints, legal notices, copyright complaints, and account deletion requests
3. How We Use Information
- Create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts
- Review, moderate, publish, reject, edit, or remove submitted content
- Operate the app and website, improve performance, and prevent misuse
- Send service messages and push notifications
- Measure reliability, fix crashes, and investigate abuse or fraud
- Show advertising and respect applicable ad-consent choices
- Respond to support, legal, privacy, and grievance requests
- Comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and safety obligations
4. Public Content, Guest Posts, and Local Listings
If you submit news, media, profile information, or reporter content for publication, some or all of that material may become publicly visible on the app, website, or related promotional surfaces. Published content may remain in public archives or internal records even after an account is deleted where retention is reasonably necessary for journalistic record, dispute handling, legal compliance, or safety purposes.

- OneSignal for push notification delivery and related identifiers
- Sentry for crash reporting and technical diagnostics
- Google AdMob and Google consent or measurement services for advertising, consent handling, and basic ad performance functions
- Cloudflare for media delivery, upload protection, and related infrastructure
- Expo for mobile app build, update, and delivery infrastructure
- Hosting, CDN, and security providers that keep the website available
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect users or the public, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, restructuring, or sale of assets. We do not describe ourselves as selling personal data as a standalone data broker.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy notices, including Supabase, OneSignal, Sentry, and Google, Cloudflare, and Expo.
6. Advertising and Consent
The mobile app and website may display ads. Depending on the device, browser, region, and applicable law, advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, cookie or similar browser data, consent status, basic device data, IP-based location signals, and ad performance information to request, measure, and limit advertising. Where available, users can review ad privacy options through in-app settings or browser controls.
The website may use Google advertising products, including Google AdSense, which can use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads on public pages. We may also maintain technical authorization files such as ads.txt or app-ads.txt to identify approved sellers of our advertising inventory.
The website also uses local storage for first-party measurement and frequency controls, including an anonymous viewer identifier used to reduce duplicate article-view counts and a timestamp used to avoid repeatedly showing sponsor media within a short period.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for account access, moderation, service operation, legal compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, security, and archival recordkeeping. Different categories of data may be retained for different periods.
8. Data Security and Transfers
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Data may be processed on servers outside your state or country by our service providers.
9. Your Choices and Requests
- Request access to or correction of the personal data you provided
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Contact admin support for guest post or local listing deletion, status changes, or moderation questions not available in the app
- Turn off push notifications from device settings if you no longer want alerts
- Use in-app ad privacy controls where they are made available

10. Children's Privacy
Our account, submission, and local listing features are not intended for people under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
11. Legal Disclosures
We may preserve, use, or disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with Indian law, court orders, lawful governmental requests, platform enforcement, fraud prevention, safety, or investigation of abuse.
12. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
13. Grievance Officer
For complaints relating to content, privacy, or policy issues, the current Grievance Officer contact is Sagar Kumar Mazumdar. Complaints may be sent to bagahalive@gmail.com. We generally acknowledge grievance complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, subject to the nature of the complaint and applicable law.
